Dr. Ryan completed his undergraduate degree in Biology with Honours at the University of Guelph with a focus in Biomedical Sciences, and then proceeded to complete his medical training at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in Vancouver, BC. He has additional certification to perform Intravenous Therapy, Prolotherapy, Neural Therapy, Trigger Point Injection Therapy and Local Regional Hyperthermia.
Dr. Ryan focuses his practice on Integrative Cancer Care. His passion for cancer care began early in his medical training when he worked with patients with a variety of cancers, and saw first hand how powerful an integrative cancer approach can be in increasing response to treatments, managing side effects of conventional care, improving survival rates and maintaining long term remission.
Although integrative cancer care is his main focus, Dr. Ryan also has experience working with patients with complex chronic disease (fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, lyme disease, crohns and colitis, etc), chronic pain, gastrointestinal and mental health disorders. He will work with your conventional care team in order to determine the most appropriate lifestyle and dietary modifications, supplements, medical therapies and medications to improve outcomes and increase quality of life.
Dr. Ryan maintains a membership with the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OncANP) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
